Important information about cancellations and refunds for our services

Introduction

At Samaira Enterprises, we understand that travel plans can change. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations, refunds, and modifications to bookings made through our services.

By making a booking through Samaira Enterprises, you agree to the terms of this Refund and Cancellation Policy. Please read this policy carefully before confirming any reservations.

General Cancellation Terms

Our standard cancellation policy for all bookings is as follows:

  • 100% refund if cancelled 5 or more days before the scheduled trip date
  • 50% refund if cancelled 2-4 days before the scheduled trip date
  • No refund if cancelled less than 2 days before the scheduled trip date or in case of no-show

All refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7 working days from the date of approved cancellation.

Cancellation Process

To cancel a booking, you must follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Samaira Enterprises account
  2. Navigate to "My Bookings" section
  3. Select the booking you wish to cancel
  4. Click on the "Cancel Booking" button
  5. Follow the prompts to complete the cancellation

Alternatively, you can contact our customer service team via email or phone to process your cancellation request.

The date and time of your cancellation request submission will be used to determine the applicable refund amount according to the policy above.

Service-Specific Cancellation Policies

Flight Bookings

In addition to our standard cancellation policy, flight bookings are also subject to the airline's own cancellation policies, which may include:

  • Airline-specific cancellation fees
  • Non-refundable fare restrictions
  • Different timelines for cancellations

If the airline's policy is more restrictive than our standard policy, the airline's policy will apply. If the airline's policy offers more favorable terms, our standard policy will apply.

Hotel Bookings

Hotel bookings follow our standard cancellation policy. However, certain properties may have their own specific cancellation terms, which will be clearly communicated during the booking process. These special terms may include:

  • Non-refundable room rates
  • Peak season cancellation restrictions
  • Special event booking restrictions

Train and Bus Bookings

Train and bus bookings follow our standard cancellation policy. Additional operator-specific fees may apply and will be clearly indicated during the booking process.

Tour Packages

Tour packages follow our standard cancellation policy. However, certain components of tour packages (such as special activities, event tickets, or peak season bookings) may have non-refundable elements, which will be clearly indicated during the booking process.

Refund Process

Once your cancellation request is approved, refunds will be processed as follows:

  • All refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for booking
  • Refund processing will begin within 24-48 hours of the approved cancellation
  • Refunds typically take 7 working days to reflect in your account
  • For credit card payments, the processing time depends on your card issuer's policies
  • For bank transfers, the processing time depends on your bank's policies
  • Service fees and certain booking fees may be non-refundable

You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed from our end.

Modifications to Bookings

If you need to modify your booking instead of cancelling it completely, the following terms apply:

  • Date changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees
  • Name changes may not be permitted for certain bookings (especially flights)
  • If a modification results in a higher priced service, you will need to pay the difference
  • If a modification results in a lower priced service, refund policies for the difference will follow our standard cancellation policy schedule

To request a modification, please contact our customer service team with your booking reference number.

Force Majeure

In case of cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control or the service provider's control (such as natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, etc.), the following will apply:

  • We will make reasonable efforts to secure refunds from service providers
  • Any refunds will be subject to the policies of the respective service providers
  • In some cases, service providers may offer credits for future use instead of cash refunds
  • Our service fees may be converted to a credit for future bookings

Each case will be evaluated individually based on the specific circumstances and the policies of the involved service providers.

Non-Refundable Bookings

Some bookings may be specifically marked as "Non-Refundable" during the booking process. These special rates offer significant discounts but come with stricter cancellation terms:

  • Non-refundable bookings cannot be cancelled for a refund regardless of the cancellation timing
  • Non-refundable bookings may be eligible for partial credit under exceptional circumstances, subject to management approval
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended for non-refundable bookings

Please carefully consider your travel plans before selecting non-refundable options.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your trip investment against unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Travel insurance can provide coverage in situations where our standard cancellation policy would not offer a refund, such as:

  • Medical emergencies or illness
  • Death or serious illness of a family member
  • Natural disasters affecting your home or destination
  • Work-related emergencies

Samaira Enterprises offers travel insurance options during the booking process, or you may purchase insurance from a provider of your choice.
